Sanjana Sharma played in the Champions of Champions World Championship in Ireland over the summer. She came eighth in the Championship which secured her a place in next year’s World Championship. She also finished third in the Faldo series qualifier and made a hole-in-one in the process. This got her name on the honours board at the club and Nick Faldo also recognised this, by sending her a flag that he signed.

Hockey

Martha Gillespie, Scarlett Fletcher, Elisa Hippe and Chloe Selvey-Clinton all represented the South Saxons (regional select team) in Nottingham at the UK Lions Tournament, against teams from all other regions of the UK. Elisa, Chloe and Imogen Smith have been selected for the UK Lions team.

Rugby Tour

Over two weeks, the squad embarked on an incredible journey that began in Calgary and took them through Banff, Revelstoke, Kamloops, Vancouver, and finally, Victoria. The adventures included a refreshing swim in the glacier waters of Lake Louise, zipping through Whistler at 70 mph, and immersing ourselves in the lively atmosphere of the Calgary Stampede. We also witnessed orcas in the Arctic Ocean and enjoyed paddleboarding, kayaking, and canoeing at sunset after a fantastic fixture against Kamloops Rugby Club. These experiences have truly made this tour one of the best bonding experiences imaginable.

All of the sailors enjoyed a lunch break at East head before racing back towards Itchenor Sailing Club. Day 2 was raced on the high tide close to Chichester Marina, another day of racing in strong wind with four races completed.
