Congratulations to our Sixth Form students on receiving an excellent set of offers from world-class universities. From Sevenoaks, our 234 applicants have received over 500 offers from UK universities to date.
Our students have also received some excellent US Early Decision offers and we are looking forward to hearing the full outcome of these applications later this month, with a full picture of offers to come in April.
Twenty-five students received offers from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, 14 from Cambridge and 11 from Oxford, to read a wide range of subjects: Archaeology and Anthropology, Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Economics, Education, Geography, History, History and Modern Languages, Law, Mathematics, Music, Modern and Medieval Languages, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Philosophy, Philosophy and French, Philosophy and German, and Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.
There have also been 66 offers from some of the top London universities including Imperial, UCL and KCL, and an impressive number from each of the following universities: Exeter (65 offers), Warwick (40 offers), Bristol (26), Bath (22) and York (20).
Our fabulous Oxbridge offers in History, Philosophy and Modern Languages this year – seven offers for Modern Languages or combined honours with a language – is particularly impressive, coming at a time when many universities are cutting Modern Languages and Humanities departments.
We assist students in finding the best fit university for themselves, whether that it is the UK or overseas, and we are proud that typically 90 per cent of our students achieve places on their preferred courses at their firm choice university, wherever that is in the world.
