Last night’s Alan Adler concert finished the musical term beautifully, with highly accomplished performances from the Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and soloists Mervyn Tong (violin), Amelia Ross and Mika Curson (recorders).
Last week we enjoyed a successful run of concerts with Music at Sevenoaks (Choral Society, Senior Girls’ Choir, Chamber Choir, Barbershop and Sennocke Consort), the Chamber Music III platform and Sevenoaks Swings.
Good luck to everyone taking Trinity Music exams this week. Last week a number of pupils sat ABRSM practical exams, with several Grade 8 entries and another diploma.
Congratulations to James King (Year 9) on winning the Grades 7-8 Woodwind class at the Tunbridge Wells Arts Festival on the clarinet.
Congratulations also to our flute quartet of Agnes Wu, Anna Power, Annabel Liu and Aria Baker on becoming U19 Chamber Champions at the Pro Corda finals.
Well done to Eliza Ruffle (Year 7) who won both cups of Beethoven Class and Open Class of the Ruislip-Northwood Festival without age limit.
