We congratulate all our students on their achievements and IB Diploma exam results, which are a testament to their hard work, positive attitude and determination.

IB results 2024

Many congratulations to the class of 2024 on their impressive IB results.

This year, our 221 IB Diploma students together achieved an average score of 39.6 points, ten points above the world average.

Nearly two thirds of our students, 61 per cent, earned 40 points or more – a fantastic result, with 85 students earning 42 points or more. Eight students achieved the highest possible Diploma score of 45 points.

Mr Jesse Elzinga, the Headmaster, said: ‘Congratulations to all our students on their exceptional IB Diploma results. Their hard work, commitment and endeavour are inspirational. Well done to our Class of 2024, and Godspeed.’

All of our Sixth Form take the International Baccalaureate Diploma, which involves the study of six academic subjects, as well as elements of service, creativity, sport and an extended research project.

Every year, some 200,000 students around the world sit the IB Diploma. The IB’s breadth, depth and international outlook empowers our students to flourish in a global community. Our school leavers are passionate and creative critical thinkers who will go out into the world and make a difference.

Sixth form

The majority of our Year 11 students are staying on to study at Sevenoaks, joining new students from all over the world to form a 234-strong cohort starting in the Lower Sixth in September. We are delighted that they begin their Sixth Form careers so well prepared for the IB Diploma Programme, which we believe is the gold standard of Sixth Form education.

“Our examination results are excellent, but this is not our primary purpose. High grades are a happy by-product of good education, and if we can enable students to leave school with outstanding qualifications too, then so much the better.”
