The sheer number and variety of educational trips offered is a real strength of a Sevenoaks education. Our schedule of over 200 visits annually reflects our global perspective and the value we place on experiential education.
Sevenoaks staff are enthusiastic and unstoppable in their passion for real world experience in education. During the school holidays, we offer a plethora of educational trips to a variety of locations. Each year we offer approximately 50 residential trips, across a range of academic and co-curricular interests. In addition, Sevenoaks students can participate in a wide variety of non-residential trips each term, including trips to London for art exhibitions and theatre productions.

In the Lower School students can sign up for residential trips to Silverstone, France, Spain, the Bioasis (secret location!), and the Munich Christmas markets. These provide a gradual introduction to life away from home for our younger students.
Middle School and Sixth Form students have a wide choice of trips which include History trips to the First World War battlefields, Vienna, and Washington; Classics visits to Bath, Pompeii and Rome; Geography field trips to Morocco and Iceland; Biology field trips to Croatia; Literary and Drama tours in Europe; Art study visits to Paris, Amsterdam and New York; Physics trips to Florida and Switzerland.

Modern Languages
In addition, we arrange numerous Modern Languages exchanges and study trips for pupils of all ages. Recently our linguists have travelled to France, Germany, Spain, Latvia and even further afield, to Cuba and Taiwan.
Co-curricular
Sport, Drama and Music tours offer students the chance to perform or compete in a new place, gain an insight into other cultures, learn new skills, and sometimes play at an international level. Recent sports tours have included: hockey to South Africa, netball to Barbados, cricket to Dubai, and rugby to Canada. Two skiing trips catering for both the casual skier and the ski racer take place each year.
Outdoor pursuits and challenges are provided by the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Combined Cadet Force trips, while MUN and debating conferences help pupils develop their confidence, presentation skills and political awareness.
As part of our Service and Partnerships programme, we offer a visit to South Africa to work with partner organisations.
