The purpose of a Sevenoaks education is much broader than academic success, and the co-curriculum plays an essential role in enabling our students to thrive both during and after their time at school.
The ambition of the Sevenoaks co-curriculum is that each student develops passions and principles which will endure for many years, and which will help them succeed as citizen of the world.

Through the co-curriculum, our students find and develop hobbies and interests, learn to balance their work alongside their recreation, and in doing so also develop time management, leadership and team skills. By immersing themselves in both the academic and the co-curriculum, our students develop their own unique character traits and moral compass, leaving them secure and confident when they move on to the next stage of life.
They also commit time to our service programme, with all students taking part in regular service activities and many also giving their own time, enthusiasm and energy to service and partnerships initiatives.

Hear from our students

Sevenoaks students have an extensive breadth and variety of interests and passions, and our co-curricular programme of art, drama, music, sport, CCF, DofE and clubs and societies reflects this. We treat each student as an individual, and support each student’s personal development, providing space and options, support and encouragement. We believe in allowing students to travel at their own pace, and in their own direction so that they can find and create their own unique path and reach their full potential. All our co-curricular opportunities are available to all.
