Well done to Sixth Formers Simba Li, Tom Nassar, Roman Pavlov and Rakan Pharaon, who have written and published a collection of short stories. ‘Into the Past: Stories for the Ages’ is a fictional exploration of the lives of classical and historical figures, including Achilles, Napoleon and Otto von Bismarck.

After months of research and writing, the group launched their book during the SingOFF, selling over 60 copies at the event and raising more than £620 for charity. The process of writing and publishing the book was a collaborative effort, with eleven short stories that span over 2500 years of history.

All the profits from the book (currently over £1,200!) are being donated to ENGin, a non-profit platform that connects Ukrainian youth with English-speaking volunteers for free one-on-one language practice. Simba, who serves as an ENGin ambassador, has been actively involved in the programme, helping to foster cross-cultural connections and facilitating the connection of over 50 Sevenoaks students to Ukrainian youth.

Into the Past is a piece of historical fiction that explore prominent figures and ideas available on Amazon Kindle and also as through Amazon Paperback.
